Montevideo, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) Two years after the electoral triumph of five right-wing parties in coalition in Uruguay, their total distance with respect to the opposition Broad Front was reduced on Thursday to three points.
A poll conducted by Equipos Consultores with the question ‘How would Uruguayans vote today?,’ showed that 35 percent would vote for the leftist political force against 30-33 percent for the National Party, the two most important parties in the country.
While the Colorado and Cabildo Abierto parties together make up five percent, which hypothetically would give 38 points to the coalition, in case it endures over growing signs of internal bills.
But at the same time the pollster highlighted a 19 percent of undecided voters that would end up tipping the balance between two blocs with different country projects.
In a comparative analysis with 2019, the Broad Front currently four points behind and the ruling coalition 16, basically due to losses of its two mentioned allies.
With still three years to go for the next election, experts point out that additional element of leaderships and concretion of presidential candidacies has to be built, a significant factor when defining the vote.
