Nicaragua applies Cuban vaccines to children and adolescents

Managua, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) Nicaragua´s health personnel on Monday began to immunize children and adolescents -aging from 2 to 17- against Covid-19 with Abdala and Soberana 02 vaccine candidates produced by Cuba´s biotechnology industry.

In its report, La Primerísima website reported a massive influx of people at the 1,087 Vaccine Centers available for that purpose by the Ministry of Health across the country.

The Government estimated that over two million people (of this age group) will be vaccinated against Covid-19.

The only requirements for this age group to be vaccinated is to be accompanied by their parents at the time being immunized.

On October 20, Nicaragua received a batch of 1,200,000 Cuban vaccine doses.

Two other deliveries are scheduled for mid-November and December to complete 7 million doses agreed between the two countries.
