Argentine President stated that terrorism threatens human dignity

Buenos Aires, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Speaking today about the crisis in Afghanistan at the Extraordinary G20 Leaders’ Meeting, Argentine President Alberto Fernández said that terrorist actions also threaten human dignity,

The President participated from the Olivos Residence in a virtual conference convened by the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi, with the aim of strengthening international coordination to respond to humanitarian needs and respect for human rights.

Terrorist acts constitute a threat to international peace and security and also to human dignity, remarked the Head of State, after calling on all political actors in Afghanistan to fully respect human rights by adopting urgent measures to protect people at imminent risk, particularly women and children.

On the other hand, Fernandez praised the initiative proposed by the Italian presidency of the G20 to achieve an additional international coordination effort in support of the actions carried out by the United Nations.
