British climate activists protest again despite jail threat

Government to improve the thermal insulation of British homes, on Friday blocked the Port of Dover, in defiance of authorities despite jail threats.
Environmental activists informed that about 40 protesters who blocked a busy freeway around London a few days ago are on Friday on the access roads to the ferry port that connects southwest Britain to continental Europe.

We are very sorry for the disruption that is rally, but this seems to be the only way to keep insulation on the agenda and draw attention on the impact this problem is having on the health and the premature death of thousands of people, a spokesperson for the environmental group said.

Insulate Britain, which states that at least 8,500 people die every winter in the United Kingdom because homes are not properly equipped to keep warm, wants that the Government commits to insulating and retrofitting British homes to reduce carbon emissions.
