Geneva, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday considered skepticism about the effectiveness of coronavirus vaccines as a serious issue, a position that hinders efforts to put an end to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hans Kluge, WHO´s regional director, warned that denying coronavirus vaccine breakthroughs prevents stabilizing this health crisis.
Such an attitude ‘is useless and is not good for anyone,’ said Kluge, who assured that active public involvement only will guarantee the success of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
It is essential that in the face of skepticism, governments and health authorities inform citizens about such an issue.
Vaccines, Kluge said, are the path to reopening societies and stabilizing economies.
He regretted that coronavirus vaccine dose production, access and acceptance is still insufficient.
