US forces steal 100 oil tanker trucks from Syria

(Prensa Latina) At least 100 tanker trucks laden with crude oil were stolen from Syria in the last few hours by the United States military into northern Iraq, media from the capital reported on Friday.

Activists indicated that three convoys, of 80, 55 and 25 trucks each, left the al-Remelan oil field, where one of the biggest Pentagon bases in this country is located, and arrive din Iraqi territory through the illegal border crossing of al-Walid.

The three columns were guarded by US armored and armed vehicles belonging to Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an illegal armed group financed and sponsored by Washington.

At least 12 military bases have been established by the United States, mostly in oil and gas fields, mainly in Hasakeh province, while maintaining an enclave in Tanef area, on the border with Iraq, to prevent any land communication between these two countries.

Syria has repeatedly denounced that the illegal presence of US troops encourages terrorist and separatist activity, in addition to depriving the Syrian people of their wealth by looting wheat and oil.
