The new provisions to enter the Galapagos Islands will come into effect from this August 31, 2021. This was announced by the president of the National COE, Juan Zapata, on the night of this Tuesday, August 24 at 11:59 p.m.
The requirements for the entry of tourists are the following:
People between two and sixteen years old must present a negative PCR test carried out up to 72 hours before shipment
Certificate that supports the immunization with the two doses of the vaccine against Covid-19
National tourists only have to present the negative PCR test prepared up to three days before the date they must board the plane.
In 15 days, the National COE and the Ministry of Health will analyze the epidemiological situation of the islands to evaluate the operation of the new measures and take corrective measures if necessary.
Galapagos is the only province where 100% of the citizens have already been immunized with the first dose and more than 95% have already completed the vaccination schedule.
