(Prensa Latina) The Peruvian Foreign Minister, Héctor Béjar, and Chilean Ambassador here, Andrés Barbé, discussed the convenience of a meeting of South American Foreign Ministers on the Covid-19 pandemic, according to an official report released the eve.
In a hearing in the minister’s office, they referred to the convenience of holding a meeting of South American foreign ministers in Lima, to adopt agreements and joint actions against the pandemic.
They also discussed the panorama of the region, Venezuela and the dialogue process in that country.
On the other hand, they ratified the common interest of holding this year the 4th edition of the Presidential Meeting and Binational Cabinet of Ministers Peru-Chile, in the neighboring country.
The meeting would review compliance with the commitments of the Action Plan of the last similar meeting, held in Paracas, Peru, in 2019, the report says.
