204,750 doses of Pfizer vaccine arrived in Ecuador

The Ministry of Health reported that Ecuador received 204,750 doses of the Pfizer vaccine against Covid-19. The arrival of this shipment will allow the Government to continue with the application of the second dose in the According to the 9/100 vaccination plan.

According to data presented by the Vice President of the Republic, Alfredo Borrero, this shipment corresponds to a part of the total 8’000,855 doses of the Pfizer vaccine that will arrive in Ecuador. The total corresponds to vaccines purchased by the State and donations from the US. The arrival of the doses, until January of the following year, is detailed in the following table:

For this month the arrival of 20’573,745 doses in total corresponds, from all the pharmaceutical companies and organizations that sent vaccines to Ecuador. By the end of August, it is planned to inoculate around 10,286,872 people with the second injection.
