The first shipment of the Chinese vaccine against the Cansino coronavirus arrived on the morning of this August 3, 2021, at the Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito.
The batch arrived with 200,000 thousand doses of vaccines and will allow to fully immunize 200,000 citizens, since this biological is single-dose, that is, it requires a single application to fully vaccinate against the coronavirus.
As reported by the Ministry of Health, this new batch will be used to implement new strategies within the 9/100 Vaccination Plan to reach areas that are difficult to access.
In the place was the Vice Minister of Governance and Health Surveillance, José Ruales, who explained that these formulas are “self-loading”, that is, they come in their own syringe, which facilitates, he said, the logistics for the inoculation process .
He added that sweeps will be made to bring biologicals to sectors where people infected with the Delta variant of Covid-19 have been detected.
