Iran’s supreme leader distrusts West

(Prensa Latina) Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, noted on Wednesday that the West is not trustworthy and only seeks to harm the nation.

Khamenei made that statement at his last meeting with the 12th Government of the Iranian country, which will hand over power next week to the one elected in the June elections.

The experience taken from the previous two executives, he said, reflects the unethical behavior of Western countries, whose aim is to hurt Iranians.

For that reason, he added, none of the internal affairs or plans should be postponed waiting for good relations with the United States or Europe.

The United States affirms that it will lift sanctions against us, but instead, it sets conditions on the nuclear talks, Khamenei said.

Washington abandoned the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal in 2018 and there are no guarantees that if it takes it up again, it will withdraw again in the future, he said.
