Ecuador begins vaccination against Covid-19 for tourist guides

On Friday, July 2, a total of 131 tourist guides were vaccinated in the provinces of Cañar, Azuay and Morona Santiago.

Since July 2, the vaccination days against Covid-19 began, for tourist guides who have the credentials issued by this State portfolio.

The process is carried out within the framework of the Vaccination Plan 9/100 carried out by the Government of the Meeting, in this case, with the coordination between the Ministries of Health and Tourism to vaccinate members of the branch, which also supports the reactivation of the sector.

On Friday, July 2, a total of 131 tourist guides were vaccinated in the provinces of Cañar, Azuay and Morona Santiago, while on Saturday July 3 the process was extended to Machala where tourist guides and employees of establishments are being inoculated accommodation and food and beverages. In this city there was also the support of the El Oro Chamber of Tourism. Also, the tourist service providers of Shushufindi, in Sucumbíos, also received the first dose of vaccination this Saturday.

For this Sunday, July 4, it is planned to vaccinate guide service providers
tourist of the cantons Zamora and Yantzaza, in Zamora Chinchipe.

In the provinces of Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Tungurahua and Pastaza, Loja, Carchi, Imbabura, Esmeraldas, Orellana, Napo, Pichincha and the rest of Sucumbíos, and the city of Guayaquil the inoculations to the tourist guides, will be carried out from Monday, July 5 at the different vaccination points arranged by the Ministry of Public Health
